Looking back helps us move forward!
The 2012 moments that stand out for us were watching faces lighten and brighten when we carried many burdens away. In a profound way we realized that the act of removing junk is not only removing unwanted items but, emotional burdens as well. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote,
“You have done what you could—some blunders and absurdities have crept in. Forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”
Junk Patrol has found this especially true when helping victims of domestic violence. This has prompted us to develop a New Year’s resolution to help more victims of domestic violence through out the triangle!
JUNK PATROL’S NEW YEAR RESOLUTION:
This year, in 2013, we hope to bring relief for those affected by domestic violence. Sweeping away the absurdities and bringing order to homes helps many find a path to a new day filled with serenity and joy. In 2013 we will be offering special pricing for referrals from organizations such as Interact and the Woman’s Center of Chapel Hill to achieve our New Year’s Resolution. Helping to break bonds that weigh them down in every day life and lightening the tough times is our goal!
This Year join Junk Patrol with our New Year’s Resolution.
We will be helping many affected with domestic violence with relief of extra burdens from their past that are piling up in their homes. We will be offering special pricing for referrals from the local organizations who help victims of domestic violence.
How can you help? Your office can sponsor one of these clean outs by purchasing a gift card to be given to victims of domestic violence. Your sponsorship can help us carry away burdens, one truck load at a time!
